The course is conducted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India), Mumbai. It is recognised by the Govt of India as an equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering as per G. O. No: F18-31/71/T-2 dated 28-05-1976.
Those passing Section A and Section B can appear for GATE, Engineering Examinations of UPSC and secure admission to Post Graduate course in Universities abroad.
